It is the mission of Imperial Calcasieu SHRM to develop and expand essential partnerships with human resource professionals, our communities and the organizations we serve, to address the evolving workplace, social trends, and human management.

Welcome to our Imperial Calcasieu Society of Human Resource Management (ICSHRM) chapter, which continues to thrive as a hub where HR professionals connect to develop skills, exchange insights, and foster professional growth.

This past year featured impactful programming addressing critical workplace concerns including mental health and suicide prevention, as well as practical guidance on managing HR data breaches. Our Law Summit provided valuable expertise on the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act and its intersection with FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation regulations.

We proudly supported our academic community through scholarships and recognition ceremonies, while celebrating the accomplishments of our dedicated members.

Membership flourished with remarkable growth from 177 to 222 members—welcoming 45 new professionals with a perfect 100% retention rate. Our chapter maintains a healthy balance with 41% SHRM affiliation (90 dual members) alongside 132 local-only members, creating a rich diversity of perspectives.

I'm deeply grateful to our board members, committee volunteers, and all members whose contributions have elevated ICSHRM to a premier professional association. Our commitment remains focused on cultivating an environment of continuous learning and collaboration.
