About Us

    ICSHRM is a non-profit organization designed to serve the needs of Human Resources professionals within the Imperial Calcasieu area.  Our membership of over 200 members is made up of over 90 organizations in the fields of manufacturing, law, healthcare, banking, communications, local government, staffing agencies, and many more. 

    ICSHRM is an affiliate of Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest association devoted to the Human Resource profession.

    Local chapter membership, in conjunction with national SHRM membership, provides the well-rounded HR professional with extensive networking, programming and learning opportunities. ICSHRM hosts monthly meetings to educate our members on current HR concerns.

    ICSHRM also hosts an annual HR conference where industry leaders and HR professionals share their knowledge and proven practices with members and the community.  The annual conference is open to anyone interested in attending.

    In addition ICSHRM works closely with McNeese State University’s SHRM student chapter.  ICSHRM fosters future Human Resources Professionals by awarding a scholarship to a deserving student.

    MISSION STATEMENT

    It is the mission of Imperial Calcasieu SHRM to develop and expand essential partnerships with human resource professionals, our communities and the organizations we serve, to address the evolving workplace, social trends, and human management.
     


    VISION

    Our vision is to provide Southwest Louisiana with the highest quality of Human Resource Professionals through our continued efforts in the advancement of professional development through comprehensive resources in training, networking, professional knowledge and inspiring excellence.


    As a member of ICSHRM, I pledge to:

    • Maintain the highest standards of professional and personal conduct.
    • Strive for professional growth in the field of human resource management.
    • Support the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) goals and objectives for continued development of the human resource management profession.
    • Instill in the public and other ICSHRM members a sense of confidence about my conduct and intentions.
    • Uphold all laws and regulations to my activities.
    • Refrain from using my official positions, either regular or volunteer, to secure special privilege, gain or benefit for myself.
    • Maintain the confidentiality of privileged information.
    • Recognize that ICSHRM meeting, events, and/or other ICSHRM activities are times for networking and development, not times for sales contacts or self-promotion.
