Candidates for Chapter membership must be: (a) Regularly engaged in bona fide Human Resource administration at the exempt or non-exempt level; (b) faculty members holding an assistant, associate or full professor rank in personnel, human resources or industrial relations of their specialized phases at an accredited college or university; (c) full time consultants in the field of human resource management; (d) attorneys licensed in the state of Louisiana practicing in the areas of labor and/or employment law. Regular Members will have the right to vote, serve on and chair committees, and hold office in the chapter.

Individuals who are actively enrolled in human resources degree programs at the college or university level. Student members may serve on a committee, but may not chair a committee, may not vote and may not hold office in the Chapter. Individual who is not employed in a full time Human Resources position.
