ICHRMA Named “Chapter of the Year”!
ICHRMA was recently named Chapter of the Year by the Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management State Council and our peer chapters throughout the state. Each year at the January state council meeting, the state council along with presidents from each chapter, vote for Louisiana’s “Chapter of the Year”.
One chapter in the state is recognized for outstanding achievements throughout the year. This honor was bestowed upon ICHRMA in acknowledgment of our accomplishments made in 2012!
Some of our many activities include: offering monthly meetings with HRCI recertification credits, our continued partnership and support of the McNeese SHRM Student Chapter, our partnership with SOWELA to offer an HRCI preparation course, our annual Human Resources Conference and our Generalist Workshop. Additionally, ICHRMA was the host chapter of the annual State Leadership Conference, which was held in Lake Charles for the first time. ICHRMA’s hospitality towards our sister chapters was much appreciated and gained us the opportunity to host the 2013 leadership conference as well.
Throughout 2013, we will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary as an organization. On May 10, 2013, we will hold our 20th Annual Human Resources Conference. We hope you will be a part of the exciting initiatives we have planned for our milestone year. We are grateful to have you as a member of our organization and thank you for your contribution to our success!
